oday it was a pleasure to celebrate with the children who achieved their personalised Accelerator Reader target. To succeed at AR you must read for a minimum of 15 minutes a day and then take a quiz on the book you read to earn points. All staff have been encouraging their classes weekly and monthly to keep on track during term two, and allocating time to read in class. We have also been trying to develop a sense of ownership and responsibility within our pupils. AR gives each child the independence to choose books within their zone that interest them and motivate them to read.
